ANDREA BASILE: Five Point Dancer LLC
Andrea provides private coaching, choreography, mentoring, and personal training services for dancers. Andrea has over 23 years of teaching and coaching experience and danced professionally for 20 years with such companies as The San Francisco Ballet, ODC Dance, Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet, Kate Weare Company, Amy Seiwert’s Imagery, Smuin Ballet, The Foundry, and more. Andrea is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and focuses on cross training dancers so they are able to dance longer, stronger, and avoid injuries. She is available for private coaching and choreography. She is currently in the process of creating a system to accept personal training clients online. Stay tuned!
EMILY HARRISON: Nutrition For Great Performances
Emily is a former professional dancer with four US companies. She currently provides nutrition counseling via web based, tele-health platforms, Go To Meeting, NutriTiming and phone through her private practice Dancer Nutrition LLC. She is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and holds both a bachelor's and master's degree in nutrition from Georgia State University. Her master's thesis research was on elite level ballet dancers and energy balance and the relationship to weight and injuries. She has experience working with diverse needs including athletic performance, weight management, wellness, food allergies/ intolerances, celiac disease, and eating disorders. She has worked with hundreds of dancers to encourage healthy eating and positive body image. She is a public speaker who has done nutrition workshops and food demos for leading dance schools and universities.
CORINNE HAAS: Life Coaching For Dancers
Corinne is a former dancer of Alonzo King's LINES Ballet, a Life Coach, and a contributing writer for Dance Magazine. She has a wide range of certifications which allow her to create a very unique way of working with her clients. She invites any dancer that is ready to move forward with their career and their lives to jump in! With the dance world as it is today, we sometimes find ourselves leaving a dance program or professional company and not knowing where we should go next. Her sessions are designed around you and your needs to bring a new awareness to where you are heading and what you need to work on to get yourself going in that direction. A single session will provide you with the beginning and may require additional sessions to give you the support you need to obtain your goals. KATHI MARTUZA: Empowered Health & Movement
Kathi Martuza, a former professional ballet dancer who spent 15 years dancing with both the San Francisco Ballet and the Oregon Ballet Theatre, is a Certified Health Coach, PEAK Pilates Instructor and Ballet Teacher. Kathi holds a BA in Dance from St. Mary’s College, as well as Certifications from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and the Institute for the Psychology of Eating. She is also a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and True Body Project Leader. Kathi is passionate about food, the body and movement. As a former elite level professional ballet dancer, Kathi understands the unique needs of dancers to find their own personal balance of aesthetic, strength and vitality, while navigating the nourishment and training of their bodies. She uses this understanding, along with her extensive training, to coach her clients to create healthy, long-lasting and balanced relationships to food, eating and their bodies, while pursuing their passion of dance in a fun and joy-filled way.
MELODY KRECH: Bear Canyon Therapy
Bear Canyon Therapy’s Clinical Director/Owner,
has been a licensed physical therapist for 32 years since graduating with distinction from the University of Oklahoma in 1984. A wide variety of experiences including nine years focused on acute rehabilitation with a specialization in spinal cord injury/neurological trauma, have helped to build a diverse knowledge base. A personal interest in improving her horsemanship skills enables her to treat the competitive equestrian as well as the working cowboy. Melody’s early competitive athletic background includes several years competing at a national and world level, enabling her to treat both the competitive and recreational athlete in a comprehensive manner. Thirty years of study and treatment of dancers, has led to published therapy articles and a successful treatment approach for dancers of all genres.
Lorianne Barclay ~ Elemental Designer
Lorianne is an Academy of Art graduate in Graffic Design and a professional ballet dancer. She has continued to be such a wonderful addition to the team. Thank you so much for your amazing contributions to our logos and designs!
